Everything You Need to Know
Honest answers to the questions I am asked most — including the ones with an inconvenient answer.
How does this work — do I write the prayer myself?
No — I write it. You choose an offering, then fill in a short private intake describing what you are carrying, in your own words and at whatever length you like. What you write becomes the intention the prayer is built around. Then I write it by hand and send it to you.
What exactly will I receive?
Four things, as one package by email: the written prayer itself, a short note explaining what it was built around, a single affirmation worth keeping, and a card formatted so you can print it. Yours to keep, print, read aloud, or pass on.
How long does it take?
24 to 48 hours after you complete the intake. If it is going to take longer than that you will hear from me before the deadline, not after it.
Do I need any experience, supplies, or a religious background?
None at all. No particular words, nothing to buy, nothing to set up. People order from inside a tradition, from the edge of one, and from none at all. You write what you are carrying in whatever language you have for it.
How much should I write in the intake?
As much or as little as you want. Some people write two lines and some write three pages, and both get the same attention. The only thing worth knowing is that the more you tell me, the more the prayer can be about your actual situation rather than a general version of it.
Which one should I choose?
If one obviously fits, choose that. If none of them quite does, choose the Personalized Prayer Request — it is written from scratch with no category to squeeze into. And if you would rather not decide, email me first and I will tell you which I would pick, at no cost and with no obligation to order.
Does this actually do anything?
That depends entirely on what you mean, and I would rather answer honestly than sell you a story. What I can tell you is what you receive: a prayer written by a person who read what you sent, in your words, about your situation. People tell me it helped to have the thing they were carrying written down and given back to them. What I will not tell you is that ordering it will change your circumstances.
Is any outcome guaranteed?
No. Everything here is offered for entertainment, personal reflection and spiritual expression. No specific spiritual, financial, romantic, health, legal or other outcome is promised or guaranteed. Anyone selling you a guaranteed result is selling you something else, and you should be careful with them.
Are you ordained? Is this a church?
No to both. I am an independent practitioner who writes prayers, and I do not represent a church, a denomination, or any religious institution. If what you need is a minister, a priest, or a pastor, you should have one — and I would rather say that than take your money.
Is this therapy or counselling?
No, and it is not a substitute for either, or for medical or psychiatric care. Plenty of people do both. If something in your intake tells me you need clinical help, I will say so plainly and point you toward it. If you are struggling badly right now, please speak to a doctor or a crisis line — in the US and Canada you can call or text 988 at any time.
Why are there no reviews on the site?
Because the shop is new and I have not collected real ones yet. When customers leave reviews they will go up, with their permission. Invented testimonials are easy to write and I would rather have an empty page than a dishonest one.
Can you make a specific person love me or come back?
No, and I will not take that order. Nothing here is ever aimed at another person's will — not to make someone love you, come back, leave somebody, or change their mind. A prayer for a relationship names what you hope for. It is never pointed at anyone else. If that is what you are after, this is the wrong shop and I will refund you.
Can you pray about my illness, my court case, or a bet?
No. I do not write anything touching health outcomes, medical decisions, legal cases, or gambling. Those are the four areas where a written prayer can do real harm by encouraging somebody to delay proper help, and no amount of careful wording fixes that. If you order one by mistake I will refund you and tell you why.
What about a prayer for someone who has died?
Yes, and it is one of the most common requests. It is written in their memory and addressed to you — a prayer for the person grieving. It is not a message from them and it is not contact with them. I do not do that and I would not pretend to.
Can I request a prayer for someone else?
Yes, and a lot of people do. It will be written for them and worded so you can send it on, or keep it and hold it quietly on their behalf. Tell me in the intake who it is for and roughly what they are going through.
Can I order one as a gift?
Yes. Say so in the intake and I will word it so it reads well when it is passed on, and leave out anything that would be strange coming from you rather than from them. The printable card works well for this.
I have not received my prayer — what do I do?
Check your spam and promotions folders first, because that is where it usually is. If it is genuinely not there, email me and I will resend it straight away. Nobody has ever paid and gone without.
Is my order private?
Completely. What you write in the intake is read by me and nobody else. It is never shared, never sold, and never used as an example — including on this website. You can say as much or as little as you want.
What is your refund policy?
If what arrives is not what you needed, write to me within 30 days and I will refund you. You do not have to explain yourself.
Do you ship anything physical?
No. Everything is delivered digitally by email, so there is nothing to ship, nothing to wait weeks for, and no address needed. The card is formatted so you can print it at home if you want a physical copy.
Still not sure?
If your question is not here, email me and I will answer it properly. Asking a question is not an order and I will not chase you afterwards.
